But what if this year, as we pass through the Torrid Comet Cloud, we narrowly avoid disaster? It’s happened before, and it could happen again. However, even if we’re lucky enough to escape a direct hit, we’re not out of the woods.

Right now, the squaring of four gas giants—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—is happening. This rare alignment is no coincidence, and its effects on Earth can’t be ignored. When these massive planets align, their gravitational forces combine, pulling on Earth in ways we don’t fully understand.
